Update: the competition is now closed.

The title image of this blog is a photo I took in Hanover, Germany while backpacking across Northern Europe in 2004. If you are ever in the vicinity, I recommend you have a stay there. As my guide book said, "Hanover exemplifies all that is Urban Design". That's the kind of advantage you have when you have a highly-educated forward-thinking population and your thriving medieval city gets bombed to 80% rubble: the chance to rebuild and do it all right. Textbook.

But in that spirit, moving to bigger and better all the time, I am happy to announce the

Landscape Architecture Resource title image design competition!

I am looking for a new image for the title of this blog and would like you, my faithful readers, to help me.

The Rules:

  1. Get inspired. Take a trip. Sketch. Dream.

  2. Submit jpg images, 72dpi, 980 pixels wide by 150 to 200 pixels high. Include your name, city, what school you went to (or the company you work for/represent), and a link to your website, blog, profile on Land8Lounge.com, LinkedIn, online portfolio, or otherwise as you see fit.

The Prize:

  1. Glory: the winning image will become the new title image of Landscape Architecture Resource. Not too shabby.

  2. Fame: The winner's image will also feature a photo/image credit and a link to the website of your choice as submitted above. This is a cool chance to promote your work to an audience of 1000+ people per month (and growing)

Criteria:
What do you think they should be? Typically, these types of contests say 'originality', 'style', 'artistic composition', etc. Give it a think. This is a professional publication. It's also a verbal sketch book and community resource. Landscape. Internet. You tell me!
